Is every worker in a gas station required to have a bar-tenders license to sell beer?
Q. As long as a worker is over 18, shouldn't he or she be able to sell me beer at a gas station providing that the establishment has a liquor license on display. Doesn't that cover evey worker?

A. I don't know if it varies by state regulation, but here in Nebraska, no. I have been a bartender at two different jobs, and have worked in a gas station that served liquor. None of those jobs required me to have a license. I suspect that to become a "certified" bartender means to get a license. However, it's not like being a doctor where you have to get certified to even practice medicine. All my experience has been from being trained on the job by my employers, or other bartenders. I would strongly assume you do not need a license to work at a gas station. UPDATE: Something I did think of--To handle liquor in different states requires different ages. A. It depends on what you mean by migrant workers! If you mean those that have gone through the legal system to come to our Country to work then like any other worker here they provide a service in which they are paid for. In that way they are a convenient and willing group of workers that can fill a labor need. If by migrant worker you mean an illegal immigrant then I see no advantage that they might bring to our Country. They are a burden to our health services, to our welfare systems and place an undue burden on just about every aspect of our Social system. Since 9-11-01 over 50,000 good American Citizens have died as a direct result of illegal aliens. This is almost as many good men and women as we lost in the whole Vietnam war and… [cont.]

A. You're working full time. Sounds lifke they don't want to pay health benefits/vacation. Be sure they are following OSHA laws and giving you at least 2 breaks and time for lunch. Part time is about 20 hours per week.
